Date with Cousins...

After many months of cancelling 'dates' with my dear cousins, I meet with them last Saturday...Met Shahidah & Rush at Marks & Spencer...Rush introduced a very delicious oat with "Deliciously Indulgent White & Dark Chocolate Rolls & Truffle Pieces" The picture on the box looked yummy...And it WAS!!! Especially the truffle pieces...i dun mind that I have to eat oats..Its better than eating bread with cheese every single day....

Shahidah brought us to this Italian cafe called Menotti, behind esprit...When we came in, the waiters were talking among themselves that this is the first time he saw muslim going in...We got a place beside the dessert display...It looks very yummy....One of the waiters approached us and said something to do with wine and its not halal....We know that! Its obvious from the bottles and bottles of alcohol being displayed on their shelves....*Duh*

Shahidah recommended us their hot chocolate with hazelnut which she said was divine...So we ordered that, gelato, some chocolate cake (i can't remembered the name, though i think it was soffiatto) and fungi sandwich..Their hot chocolate was heavenly...Its to die for, especially for chocolate lovers...It came in this small teacup and hot milk..The chocolate sauce was very thick and its up to us to decide how thick the consistency we want to be....Wow,I've never tasted such delicious hot chocolate before....But the price was a bit axed though, $9.00 for a small cup...

Our gelato came in 3 flavours and their cake was delicious...There was some melted chocolate in the middle of the cake and it came with chocolate flakes gelato....But the most disappointing thing was the sandwich...It wasn't spicy, filled with lots of vegetables that I don't really fancy....

Next they were looking for a new place to eat dinner?! I was quite full from the dessert that we had..So I suggested to try that 2hot halal cafe at esplanade, which they were game to try...When we reach there, we were walking in circles trying to find this cafe...Its turns out they were situated along the bay, which we could easily reach there...The place was full, the only seats were inside...The place was stuffy, i felt suffocated from the cooking in their kitchen...No wonder people chose to eat outside...The food in this cafe were mix of malay, indian, indonesian and western...Since my cousins were still full from our desserts, we decided to share among us...We ordered Marsala fish & chip, turkey bacon sandwich and trimushy...The fish & chip reminded me of wadjie and the bacon was medium raw, which I don't really like...But the trimushy was delicious....I was so full that I couldn't eat much of the food..

Overall, I enjoyed our 'date', meeting up with them, talking about our families, food and much much more....Rush was suggesting a monthly event for us cousins....That would be interesting...considering the food that we gonna eat....
